Anna Soong is the Principal of The Sunbird. Anna has over 16 years of experience in the early childhood field as teacher and Principal. Anna holds a B.Soc.Sc. degree in children and family studies from Edith Cowan University, Australia, and an advanced diploma in early childhood education. She is also a music teacher and dancer, including ballet, tap and cultural dances all of which she puts to good use at The Sunbird. Anna is a mother of 3 young bright and energetic boys.

Sunbird teachers are loving, responsible and creative. They have many years of teaching experience with young children. Ms Judy and Zhang Laoshe are past recipients of the Model Workers Award from the Singapore Labour Foundation. Judy is also formerly a nurse before she switched career and this brings added value to the Sunbird. Our Chinese teachers are native speakers to ensure that children are exposed to and learn good Mandarin. Some of our teachers are trained at the Diploma and Degree level - beyond the basic training requirement of the Ministry of Community Development & Sports. All teachers undergo on-going training by our consultant, including developing their own multiple intelligences as well nurturing children's multiple intelligences.

A child development centre is not complete without the people who cook for the children and who keep the place clean and fresh. Aunty Lim and Aunty Tan are a cheerful duo who are very fussy about what our children eat. They also happen to be great cooks and would smile broadly when the children ask for second helpings and finish with a clean plate!
